Now, I find it really, really scary and creepy that there are people who actually feel this way.

Since 2001

Mortgage has increased by 34% due to property tax increases.
Electricity bill has increased by 112% due to 'fuel adjustments'
Gasoline bill has increased by 200% due to war mainly.
Natural Gas bill has increased by 425% due to 'fuel adjustments.'
Food bill has increased 125% (probably due to gas).

How are these attributable to the "choices" that I 'have made in life?'
They are a direct result of big government intervention and regulation...

When will the Democrat party end their oil embargo?

When will the Democrat party stop their useless subsidy of ethanol.. which is a direct result of high food prices.. Corn is being used to make fuel.. and is not being used for food.

Both problems are a result of low supply.. oil and corn.. When supply is down prices go up.. and Democrats are the cause.

Income Inequality Grows
"In a new sign of increasing inequality in the U.S., the richest 1% of Americans in 2006 garnered the highest share of the nation's adjusted gross income for two decades, and possibly the highest since 1929," according to the Wall Street Journal.

"Meanwhile, the average tax rate of the wealthiest 1% fell to its lowest level in at least 18 years. The group's share of the tax burden has risen, though not as quickly as its share of income."

A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots in the air.

"Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder.

"I'm a panda," he says at the door. "Look it up."

The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation.

"Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."

I don't think it will have anything to do with "income inequality".

As the Democrats create more entitlements and government employment, they will eventually develop an unbeatable majority beholden to them. That majority will then tax everyone except themselves, and those who are taxed will then rebel.

Edited to add....I doubt you'll be singing the same song in 10-15 years when you are 'less marketable' due to age.
You're not talking about the same thing I am.
