Crooks and Liars McClellan: White House gave FOX commentators talking points Matthews: “Did you see FOX television as a tool when you were in the White House? As a useful avenue to get your message out?” McClellan: “I make a distinction between the journalists and the commentators. Certainly there were commentators and other, pundits at FOX News, that were useful to the White House.” […] That was something we at the White House, yes, were doing, getting them talkng points and making sure they knew where we were coming from. Matthews: “So you were using these commentators as your spokespeople.” McClellan: “Well, certainly.” Straight from the source. Enough with the “fair and balanced” crap already. Point addressed |

i think the point is moot. the people in question want to be perceived as journalists, not pundits, it's opinion as fact, which is almost always wrong.

How can anybody credibly insist that Fox is "fair and balanced" after they pulled this McCain anti-aging stunt?

Not really. I just don't think that the accusation has any weight to it. If FNC wanted to show McCain as younger, then why wouldn't they edit out the parts of the video that show the 2000 signs?

You seriously believe they are that competent? Do you believe I was born yesterday? Why on earth would they use 8 yo tape in the first place instead of something recent?
