"Normal" is what's not "abnormal".

So, what's "abnormal"?

Looks like someone didn't pass third grade english.

You can't use a word in that word's definition. Nor can you use any part of a word in its definition.

An incorrect statement masked as an insult. Score one for The Southern Man.

standard deviation: Definition and Much More from Answers.com

The term “normal” therefore has a measure of objectivity to it, even among statisticians. Most would agree, however, that “normal” lies somewhere between 1 and 2 standard deviations (68 to 95%), or that “abnormal” is between 5 and 32%.

By this standard it would be abnormal to support Bush and the republicans - okay. And it is definately abnormal to make comic books that link gays to satan.

Thatis the standard - though I suspect SM is more of a math afficionado than a grammarian.

Don't be silly. I explained the definition of “normal”, then defined the word “abnormal” as “an antonym of normal”. You and Zep are being trivial and argumentative in order to sidetrack the discussion.

One can't be argumentative alone - and you're definitely calling the kettle black.

I am a teacher. I know how to properly define words. An antonym of 'normal' would get a request to try again, this time using the dictionary.
