AUSTIN – Texas spent a nation-high $17 million last year for abstinence education programs that continue to stir debate about whether classes promoting virginity before marriage work in public schools.
Federal statistics in June showed that 52.9 percent of Texas students in ninth through 12th grades had sexual intercourse, compared with 47.8 nationally. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also reported that Texas youths are less likely to use condoms. All that money and effort wasted on another Bush policy that didn't work. His education policy, a failure, His foreign policy in Iraq, North Korea, Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and just about every where else, a failure. His war on terrorism, a failure. His economic policies, a failure. His USSC appointments, a failure. Failure, failure, failure!
The only things Bush does well are take vacations and make up excuses for why he's failed yet another time.
I wonder if all those people who voted for Bush have come to realize just how great a disappointment they are....with Bush's near perfect record of failure, I wonder if they still think that either Gore or Kerry could possibly have been worse? Clarabell the clown couldn't have been worse.

In all fairness, he didn't actually fail with North Korea...
although he was an appeaser... giving concessions before results and to think, he condemned the democrats for wanting to do talk to Iran...

I wouldn't doubt it, Michael.

You see, Bush wants to make the Reagan speech, "Tear Down That Wall." Only the wall Bush is talking about is the one between our government and the Christian Church.
But the thing is, abstinence just doesn't work...another "God" backed policy that has proven to be a failure.

apparently kids will continue to be kids and will do whatever it takes... afterall, when I was a cub, sex was all I thought about, too... why would it be any different today? because bush wills it so?

BTW: Not voting for Bush doesn't fix the problem. We are still left with having to fix all of his failures plus what do we do with the knuckleheads who voted for him?

true... true... true and how about we draft them and send them off to Iraqistan and bring home some of our weary troops... let them, the troops, have some much needed rest and let them (the knuckleheads) duck...

that sure sounds a lot like Viet nam where the army or marines would be sent to take a hill, then they'd give it up and be forced to take it again... and again... and again...
the only ones that made out in that exchange were the arms dealers and those who made body bags...

The surge has kept much needed forces out of Afghanistan which has resulted in the taliban's resurgence.
well, you could very well be wrong and of course he does...
