My fellow Americans,
For the last eight years, our great nation has been held prisoner by a political party mouthing the words "morals" and "family values," yet all the while behaving in the most corrupt and hypocritical fashion imaginable. Their radical religious contingent, led by a blasphemous heretic named James Dobson, wants to remake our nation according to the Bible's Old Testament. We're talking theocracy here, ladies and gentlemen, something the Founding Fathers never intended. It is a matter of historical fact that the Plenipotentiary of George Washington himself signed The Barbary Treaties on November 4th, 1796 and Article 11 reads as follows "The United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion." (Emphasis mine.) These regressive Republicans, who claim to be conservative but are actually radical extremists, have aligned themselves with a Dominionist contingent of fundamentalists in order to implement one-party rule of our government...all the while behaving in the most disgusting, perverted and lascivious fashion themselves. We could talk about Larry E. Craig, GOP Senator from Idaho who pleaded guilty to "inappropriate conduct" in a men's restroom at the Minneaplois/St. Paul International Airport...who was actually soliciting sex from other men there. (Craig's career features a long history of anti-gay hypocrisy...so we have a CLASSIC case of GOP hypocrisy and perversion in this one individual!) We could also talk about Jeff Patti, Republican chairman of Sparta, New Jersey, who was arrested earlier this year for distributing the video of a five-year-old girl getting raped. Five years old!! We could talk about the Johnny Gosch case in Iowa that is starting to reveal the outlines of a Republican child prostitution ring. We could talk about Chris Ruleman, the Christian radio DJ who also downloaded and distributed kiddie porn. Then there's Neal Horsley who, in two appearances on a Fox radio program, admitted that his first sexual encopunter was with the family mule...which consented to the interlude! No list of perverted Republican hypocrites would be complete without mention of Representative Mark Foley from Florida's 16th district who was allowed to roam the haqlls of Congress for years, trolling for sexual partners among the underage Congressional pages. But I'd like to start this thread off with a real bang, discussing the grandaddy of Republican sex scandals, the one that almost brought down the Reagan/Bush White House, the Franklin Cover-Up. The reason you may not have heard of this one is that the chief investigator died, suddenly and violently, as did more than a dozen others linked with the case. Can you say "CIA termination with extreme prejudice?" They did it because this one had everything! It started out looking like a financial swindle--a Republican specialty, of course--but it soon exploded into a a hideous tale of drugs, Iran-Contra money laundering, a nationwide pedophile ring and the ritual murder of a juvenile at Bohemian Grove. These are the depraved dirtbags who have been running this country...and you're simply not going to believe how many more examples I have in my archives and how much longer this thread is going to get. One more quick example: Troy King, the Alabama Attorney General who has called homosexuality the “downfall of society,” has allegedly been surprised in a compromising position. He was caught having sex with his male aide by his wife and reportedly banished from his home in Montgomery by his infuriated spouse. (A tip of the halo to TheStripey1) See what I mean??

After Reagan ran on a balanced budget platform plank and then proceeded to nearly triple the National Debt I stopped wondering...
Remember when Bush ran on "I'm a uniter not a divider?" Now McCain't is running on his military credentials of being a POW for five years. This goes way beyond your garden variety of hypocrisy...

HOW ABOUT SOME MUNDANE HYPOCRISY?
FactCheck.org: McCain's Small-Business BunkNow I agree this is your normal right wing hypocrisy and lies but I think it should be included even though it isn't as spectacular as most of their lies. Here's another: FactCheck.org: The $32,000 QuestionIt's like they are flying out of McCain'ts anal sphincter.

In other words, we are left taking the word of a known traitor as to how patriotic he is... Pure insanity...and as you say, if we add in the sexual perversions of the right wing, especially their religious leaders, it boggles the mind.
