Default McCain says World War III would bring the draft back

Do you think McCain know something we don't.....

McCain says only World War III would justify draft: McCain says only World War III would justify draft - Yahoo! News

Wed Jun 25, 1:48 AM ET

COSTA MESA, California (Reuters) - Only World War III would prompt Republican presidential candidate John McCain to bring back the military draft, McCain said on Tuesday.

Many Americans are fearful the U.S. government will be forced to reinstitute the draft given the prolonged Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Asked about that possibility by a potential voter in Florida during a telephone "town hall meeting," McCain said: "I don't know what would make a draft happen unless we were in an all-out World War III."

The United States ended its last military draft in 1973 in the waning years of the Vietnam war, moving to an all-volunteer military force.

McCain, a Vietnam veteran, said the draft during that conflict weighed most heavily on lower-income Americans, and that this should not be repeated.

"I do not believe the draft is even practicable or desirable," McCain said.

So...... here is my scenario for WWIII via Shia Muslims.

America passes up the option for airstrikes on Iran. Israel takes the initiative and conducts airstrikes on Iran. Iran declares war on Israel. Syria and Hezbollah from Lebannon joins on Iran's side. Hamas and other Palestinians use the opportunity to increase attacks on Israel. We join on Israel's side.

So...... here is my scenario for WWIII via Sunni Muslims.

American troops engage Pakistani army regulars on Pakistan soil. Pakistan declares war on Afghanisan. Sunni nations support Pakistan. Saudis coverty provide money for Pakistan. American-Coalition troops advance into Pakistan and Pakistan uses nuclear weapons.

A third scenario for a draft is that there are major set backs in Iraq, and McCain flip flops.

Well then let's try to avoid the scenario by not engaging either country.

Both of those would still be localized - Israel has already had plenty of wars. But if the Sunni war drew in India, then it might be WW III.

World War 3 will be fought after the inevitable economic depression that plunges much of the world into fascism.
