I think Bill Richardson would be a great choice.
He has tons of experience, Both foreign and domestic. He can help with the south western states even possibly Texas and he is not seen as the old guard which helps with the Change argument.

I think he would make a good choice.

Jim Webb is also a great choice.
He has great military experience and he can help with states like Virginia.

I dont think Obama needs the kind of military mind that you claim.
I think he is more then capable of being Commander and Chief. He will have great military minds to consult with. Military experience has never been a requirement for the Presidency. Two of our greatest Presidents had none and they were Presidents during times when the nation really was at threat. Namely the Civil war and WW2. I think that the right is going to try and use his supposed lack of experience as an argument but I don't really care becuase they have no real foot to stand on. First off neither Cheney or Bush had any real military experience. Secondly McCain claims a lot of knowledge when it comes to war but it seems to me that someone that lost 5 planes in 20 hours of combat is not the best source of military experience.

My understanding is that Obama doesn't have a real choice in the appointment. The VP is chosen by the commitee. If so, they may nominate her as the VP for the sake of the party. After all the blows traded, it sure would be ironic.
