What is defined as "rare," what is the barrier between "common" and "uncommon"?

Nor did I claim that you advocated it. However, the fact of the matter is that "minorities" do receive special treatment, e.g. status that is given special protections under the law, affirmative action...

Not at all. But when, for example, a "minority" is allowed admission to the police academy based on having to lower test score than a white male, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about.

But the only way to truly level the playing field is to eliminate this silly notion of majority and minority and to require all hiring and promotion to be based on objectively-measurable merit.

Yes, there will always be discrimination in one form or another - and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

We still have our trash, despite how well you may think we have it, so act like moving the trash to the curb is hurting America. The IDEA HERE, is to make America BETTER, not good, not OK, BUT BETTER. You are eithr an anchor or onboard the ship, and you have to decide.

That is because your perception is skewed by rose colored glasses. You are part of the problem, and not part of the answer. Ignoring it does not make it go away. It might take someone racist snuffing you out for you to get the message. Some people are just that stupid in our society, like anti-gunners.

That's a fallacy, the anchor or on the ship comparison means basically, you're either with us or against us. It is possible to be nuetral, to not help or hurt. You're trying to paint those that don't want to help you as helping racists.

When poor people, in desperate need of medical attention are turned away from a non-profit hospital, which is required by law to provide care for the indigent...that is inhumane.
It's inhumane that Vietnam vets, are homeless and in need of medical and psychiatric care, and they cannot get the care or the help that they need.
I could go on and on...but you get where I'm coming from...
America is not the shining beacon of light it once was...inhumanity is alive and well here in the USA, as is racism, poverty, hunger, and indifference.
