Has anyone else here read the "Left Behind" series? In it the antiChrist is a dark-skinned, charismatic figure who dupes people with his slick talking and smooth ways. When he comes to power, though, he is an evil and cruel tyrant.

Although I don't think Barack will ever be an evil, cruel tyrant I see an interesting correlation between the characteristics of Nicolae Carpathia (the antiChrist in "Left Behind") and Obama.

This isn't a smear because I have nothing against Obama other than I see him merely as a typical charismatic talking head/politico, but I find the parallels interesting and I wonder if anyone else here has read the books...
