I'm sure they would, were it not for the religious right, and Christian conservatives who bring their religion into politics, and demand that they have a seat at the "governing table", instead of coming to the table minus their moral and ideological baggage. They demand to be "catered to", and politicians have been open to giving into their demands, at their peril, and more importantly, "at ours".

So, it's okay for others (including you) to come to the table with their moral and ideological baggage but conservative Christians (mainly those who adhere to dominion theology and/or Christian Reconstructionism) must check theirs at the door?

It's not racial hatred, when someone (in this case, someone of the same race...a Rev. Michael Pfleger, undoubtedly, a Catholic priest sympathetic to his black parishioners) identifies the fact that someone has, precisely, been suggesting "white privilege" and "white entitlement" is a given, and the norm.

Hillary Clinton did and does act like the nomination was hers, as a "foregone conclusion", and can't for the life of her, understand, how she lost it.
Barack Obama, did come, and take the nomination, by the surprise of many...once again a religious leader was telling the truth....a truth many are in denial of....especially Ms. Clinton, herself.

Folks are quite free to believe whatever....my problem lies in when they try to force their beliefs on myself and others.
