Default McClellan may have some explaining to do

First, here's an audio clip from president Bush's first press secretary Ari Fleischer, who talked to McClellan two days ago. It seems that maybe his editor "tweaked" a few things.

Then you have this story from CNN where former counselor Dan Bartlett also insists that McClellan hasn’t told the truth:

Quote:
Former White House counselor Dan Bartlett lashed out at Scott McClellan in a telephone interview Wednesday, saying the allegations that the media was soft on the White House are “total crap,” adding that advisers of President Bush are “bewildered and puzzled” by the allegations in McClellan’s new book. ….

Bartlett said the bewilderment stems from “Scott’s decision to publicly air these deep misgivings he’s never shared privately or publicly” with fellow Bush insiders. “To do it now, through a book, is a mistake,” he added.

Bartlett asserted that McClellan did not play a major role in key events, noting that the former aide was serving as deputy press secretary for domestic issues during the run-up to the war in Iraq, raising questions about how McClellan could claim the President used “propaganda” to sell the war.

“I don’t think he was in a position to know this,” Bartlett said flatly. He said it’s “troubling” that McClellan is now “gives credibility to every left-wing attack” on anecdotes that are “either thinly-sourced or not witnessed by him” in the White House.
Although it's a complete waste of time, I hope that McClellan is called to testify in front of congress, because it will serve two purposes. First, it will likely show that McClellan is full of sh*t, and second it will send the approval ratings of the democratically controlled congress plummeting even lower than it is now for wasting the American peoples money on more partisan BS.

I'm outraged. The government should do something.

McClellan is not the only one "full".
I, sincerely, hope that McClellan's book leads to Congressional hearings, with guest appearances ranging from Rice and Powell, to Rove and Cheney.
If ever there were any clearer grounds for impeachment, this would be it.
There are so many violations, under the Constitution, and such a betrayal of the public trust, that it should be a "foregone conclusion"....but we all know, that the Republicans will play the role they know best, "obstructionists", as "the truth" has long become an "extinct species".
Besides, if we can waste billions, monthly, in the escapade of war with Iraq, surely we can waste a million or two, in pursuit of the truth of "assured" wrongdoings committed by an entire administration and military complex.

The democrats promised to impeach Bush and stop the war... What a joke.

I do agree though, that there should be congressional hearings. What better way to demonstrate how big a mistake it was to elect the democrats into power on capitol hill.

They've already achieved the lowest approval ratings of any congress in history, but they can go much lower... Go Pelosi go!

You keep saying that but you haven't shown us which democrats said it yet.

Is that because it's not true and you can't find any?

Kucinich is the only one I know of.....You keep saying it as if there were LOTS of them.

Please list them for us.

Tell us all what Dan Bartlett, a lawyer, was doing in high level meetings concerning the preemptive invasion of Iraq?

What does a lawyer have to do with military stratigic planning on foreign soil?

Bartlett is just one of the republican attack puppies spewing forth lies to cover their masters behind.

Hear, hear....notice whom they put up as talking heads to counter McClellan.....even Rove tried to put his two cents in (and isn't he being subpoened, presently? Any other self-respecting klutz would be taking a low profile...but not ol' fathead.)
Dana "Bimbo" Perino, Bartlett....uh, anyone see Ari Fleischer?

They would have, had it not been for the obstructionists Republicans....oh, but that will all change come January, when Dems will be in the majority in both houses, and a Dem prez, to boot...they may proceed to indict Bush and Cheney and most of their cabinet....I have plenty of popcorn.
Don't you need "to dump".
