Here is a graph from a Pew Research Center study, which shows the same thing as it always does... Republicans get the shaft from the liberal main stream media. The full study can be found here.

They shouldn't all get the same %. If Nixon ran against JFK, it would be expected that JFK would get more positive because he has more positive. Compare the media results with the people's opinions and you'll see that there is little bias (accept in Clinton).

Why shouldn't they get the same percentage? Why shouldn't the numerous other national parties likewise get the same percentage of coverage as the Demoncrats and Republicans?

Because the people don't care about them (much). The people don't want for them all to get equal time. They don't want 5 minutes of Clinton, 5 minutes of Obama, 10 minutes of McCain, than 10 minutes of the socialist party, than 10 minutes of the nationalist party, than 10 minutes of the libertarian party, than 10 minutes of the communist party, than 10 minutes of the fascist party, than 10 minutes of some other party that no one's ever heard of before that only has 2,000 members but gets equal time because it meets minimum qualifications (whatever they are), than 10 minutes of yet another party of which no one really knows.

The news organisations are companies and have employees and so need to pay their employees, so they have to make money. If they put up stuff that no one wants to watch, than they don't make money and people will lose their jobs.

Because the people don't know about them and the reason they don't know about them is because the media has refused to cover them.

The stupid sheeple don't have a clue what they want! They take what the media feeds them.

How do they know they don't want it if they've never had it?

The news organizations are hookers and the Democrats and Republicans their johns. Besides, do you realize that news is a loss-leader for media companies, meaning that they actually lose money for the media companies?

No, what it is saying is that of all of the narratives about Obama, 69% were positive, and of all of McCain 44% were positive. What it doesn't give is the amount of total coverage.
