So you've never second guessed President Bush? I rest my case.

I actually understand the causes of the Civil War. It starts way before the issue of Slavery..

Only if this was actually taught in Public School.

No, No, No.. Go read your American History from 1787 to 1860. The argument was about State Rights. Always was. From the Missouri Comprise, Tariffs in South Carolina, to Dred Scott case.

Why do you think when someone mentions State's Rights they are given the title Racist.. like you did with me? Its because State's Rights was the central issue in all issues of that day. Be it Slavery or Taxation.

What does this have to do with the hindsight bias?

Human rights > States' rights.

States' rights was an issue, but not the real cause behind the civil war.

The north fought the war to preserve the union. The south fought because the rich wanted to preserve slavery and the poor had been manipulated into supporting the cause of states' rights.

Uh, you bring up Human Rights? Yet forget the Child Labor later on.. deal with the issue at hand. Don't let your heart do your thinking.

No. The South fought because they believed in Freedom designed in the US Constitution. Its called the 10th Amendment, read it. Most Southerners opposed Slavery.

You seem to change your opinion what gives?

Also I suggest you read what Demagouge has to say about this..

Now do you understand it?

How can you make such a claim? Man that government schooling sure has served your masters well.

Oh good god. You lose a debate so you have to call someone a racist. Why do leftists always do this? Slavery exists today. What are we doing about it? Ad hominem attacks are very unbecoming.
