No, No, No.. Go read your American History from 1787 to 1860. The argument was about State Rights. Always was. From the Missouri Comprise, Tariffs in South Carolina, to Dred Scott case.

Why do you think when someone mentions State's Rights they are given the title Racist.. like you did with me? Its because State's Rights was the central issue in all issues of that day. Be it Slavery or Taxation.

Human rights > States' rights.

States' rights was an issue, but not the real cause behind the civil war.

The north fought the war to preserve the union. The south fought because the rich wanted to preserve slavery and the poor had been manipulated into supporting the cause of states' rights.

No. The South fought because they believed in Freedom designed in the US Constitution. Its called the 10th Amendment, read it. Most Southerners opposed Slavery.
