If you read my earlier posts you will see that I stated that it was the ADVISORS advice, and that if Obama took that advice he would be breaking a campaign promise. That is a fair statement to make.

My OP states: "change he promised his supporters may come in the form of Obama changing his policy on how and when he will bring home the troops from Iraq. "

Do you understand what is meant by "may come"? It means that if Obama takes the advice of his people regarding the troops, the the
"may come" wound come in the form of a broken campaign promise. I am not claiming any FACT. Read it again, you may understand it this time.

And why are you bringing Bush into this discussion? He'll be history in 10 months.

(Speaking for myself personally)

As I have stated previously, I am weary of the Obama fixation at this board. The only boards that can compete with us in sheer number of threads on Obama minutia are at the far right wing end of the scale. Try Rush Limbaugh's blog site. We have gone from the pledge of allegiance smear, to the Obama's cousin is a Muslim terrorist smear, to Obama went to a Muslim school in Kenya as a kid and is therefore connected to Muslim terrorists, to Obama is ashamed his mother and her parents are white, to citing what his wife has said, to his minister, and now to his advisor, back to the pledge of allegiance smear. What's next? The (bleep) for brains tabloid papers already ran an article about Obama's gay lover. (But of course the same guy claims to be a reincarnate of Elvis from outer space). Or maybe we will have his daughter's report cards brought up as an issue about Obama being a bad father. And when you run out of minutia, we can fixate on Barrack HUSSEIN Obama's middle name.

Would McCain stand up to the same under the electron microscope treatment?

Nope.

thats how the republican spin machine works.

Don't look at the real issues facing this nation just keep throwing smear around so that people don't know what is what then sneak in the back door and rob America blind.

I don't think it will work this time. People are sick of republican machinations. As shown by the 81% wrong direction poll.

Michael, you are suggesting that some of us stop posting here and go post at "Rush Limbaugh's blog site"? Does Admin condone this suggestion of yours, or are you just posting as a member. It's unclear to me at times what role you post as. Should I cancel my membership here and sign up with Rush? Is that what you are suggesting we do?

Rather than take part in this discussion, you throw in you one liner, in this case a paragraph of things that you do not like. Saying my threads are smear threads it's not very nice and disrespects my opinion. Michael, refer to the rules regarding public slander. You cannoy step in halfway as a moderator, and halfway as a member. You can't have the best of both worlds. Either staff gives me an infraction for breaking any of the rules, or you back off with your smear accusations. Is there a problem?

My threads are from legitimate news sources. If you don't like the content or where members take the thread, then avoid the thread. If you want to censor the news and discussion, then go take it up with the media outlets, not me. I post my opinion here, and if you don't like my non-political leaning, then too bad. I follow the rules and return the respct I am given.

And by the way why do you bring up McCain?
"Would McCain stand up to the same under the electron microscope treatment? "

And you or anyone else in this forum can start your own thread anytime you like to put McCain, or any candidate, under the same electron microscope treatment?

One more thing. hat the hell does John McCain have to do with this?? An attempt to divert and derail, no doubt.

Fox news.

Is not legitimate.
It is a partisan bastion of republican evil.

The huffington report.

Fox news.

None of them are legitimate.
They are all partisan bastions of republican evil.
You need to spend less times playing dungeons and dragons, and more time educating yourself as to how the world turns.

"bastions of republican evil"...sounds like the perfect villain. What news sources would you prefer that I should I choose from? Steer me in the direction you want me to go. That is what you want to do with those you don't agree with. Another members wanting to sensor me.

Why would I post smear or trivia stuff about McCain when I don't support smear or trivia stuff? I disagree with him on a few major issues, and I have indeed posted on this.

I said "speaking for myself personally." This isn't a moderator thing.

Well as far as I'm concerned it is a perfect villain.

As for Dungeon and dragons you brought that up not me. I haven't played those kind of games in a good 20 years.

I think its time you educated yourself on what biased means because Fox news is biased thus it is not a legitimate news source. In fact I could show many other supposed news sources you have quoted that are nothing more then right wing spin sites.

If your going to bring up games why dont you talk about the ones you play.

Well, PERSONALLY, if you don't like what I post, then stay away. Why post here if all you do is accuse me of smear and slander. Refer to the rules, or maybe since you are a mod you feel that you are immune to the rules. I have experienced this before on other forums, and you need to follow the rules as well.

Where's your infraction, Michael. Stop derailing my threads. You are trolling for responce from me so that you can find a reason to T&L or close this thread. It would not be the first time. Ever since I corrected you on the definition of "Full Metal Jacket", you have attacked my post, and accused me of posting smear campaigns. I am kind of tired of it already. Or are you just pissed because Obama, your hope in the sky, may end up disappointing you and all of that belive in the change he will bring.

Playing D&D in high school is common for many. Were you good at it?
