Default Rush comments on black president

Hi, to the community. I think that it was good of Rush Limbaugh to express his views on a Black President and to prove that he is not a racist has promoted Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice as strong candidates for presidential status. I think that it was fair on the part of Rush to say about is comments on a black president. I think that we should thank him….shouldn’t we?

Do you have a link to his comments? I'm not familiar with this.

We should thank someone for not being a racist?

He's just letting us know that given the fact that between Hillary, McCain, and Obama, maybe Colin Powell or Condi would probably be a better choice given the candidates currently running. I would strongly support Powell based on his leadership abilities and support. He doesn't say much these days.

Forgive me but this all sounds a bit derogatory to Obama and the black people of America in general, "I don't like Obama but I would like a token black president so...", that's what it sounds like to me.

Colin Powell, unfortunately, has lost his luster, by kowtowing to the wishes of the administration, and offered himself up as the sacrificial lamb before the UN. A move he now regrets, and will forever be his "undoing".
Condoleeza Rice?? Are you kidding me? What a joke of a Sec. of State? What a wasted promise. A female "Clarence Thomas". I could go on. Please stop me.
Condi Rice? I'm gonna be sick. Excuse me.

Why does when anyone give an opinion that isn't what someone wants to hear about race they are racist. Not everything about everyone is positive. And there are negative stereotypes about the differing races just as there are positive ones.

If I were to say that "Asian women are beautiful", no one would complain. Even though there are plenty of ugly Asian women in the world. But if I were to say that Mexican women are ugly, is that racist?

I'm not a Obama fan because I don't want universal healthcare or to pull out of Iraq until we correct the mess we made.

Maybe Rush's comments were that he would prefer a more conservative thinking Black person in office than Obama and that's it. I know that's someone I would vote for.

After getting the shaft regarding the information he presented to the UN, I suspect politics has left a really bad taste in his mouth.

Wasn't Oxy Contin boy the one who coined the phrase "HALFrican American"? That didn't go over too well either as I recall.
