I just don't get it. MLB is a business. It’s just a big one. The Government should have no involvement in MLB regulation or testing for drugs. This is just a huge waste of money by moronic members of our government. I hope every one of these people loses reelection.

Athletes are role models for the children. If they perform way out of the normal range of performane for a normal human being, then the kids will expect themselves to do the same, as will their peers. That is not healthy for kids. Plus it is not an honest demonstration of skill. Why do you think that horses cannot be pumped with drug=s before races? Same thing applies.
It's like the modeling industry. Most models have perfect figures and very low weight, yet that is only a small percentage in the reality of women in society. The majority of women don't have a models looks, yet society pressures them into achieving the look. In comes anorexia and bulimia. If we cannot model ourselves after the reality of things, and not unreal expectations, then society is doomed to fail. Plus the steroids make your wee wee smaller. ![]() Last edited by AmericanDreamer : 02-13-2008 at 12:42 PM. |

Congress is not involved in any modeling agency or whatever; they are not involved in any other form of entertainment. And steroids don't make you're wee wee smaller; they make your balls smaller |

Sure in making laws about them. Not determining if employees of a business are using them. |

What do you think Congress should be doing with their time, and why is this Democratic congress not doing it? And what rights are you referring to that are being trampled on? |
