Yeah, I guess if you can't afford to live in your area, you should prolly move your arse to an area you can afford. I can't afford to live on 5th Avenue yet, but I am working at it.

Vote like you want peace & prosparity for America - because the right wants more wars, more casualities, more VA hospitals.

Vote like you want a secured border from terrorists, illegal aliens, drugs, and gun runners - because the right offerred you a few miles of wire fence.

please read this article, look at the two maps, and think about the implications of what you are proposing...

Tornado Alley - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

moving all the people from the middle third of the US into three or four states (which are mostly desert in three cases and already densely populated in the fourth) is just DUMB.

And if you want all the folks who live in that ENTIRE region to be forced to build underground, why don't you try telling them that they're going to have to leave the most fertile agricultural land in the country, leave the region where their family has lived for generations. Good luck.

Anyway if its that bad then why not have everyone move out of the country, since every single state has some natural disaster lurking in it.
People should live in environments they can afford to survive in. If you can't survive, then go where you can survive. Pretty simple logic really. If you can't afford a structure to protect your family, you are definately living in the wrong place.

So when someone ends up living on the streets or unable to afford medical care it's society's fault, but when they live in an area prone to natural disasters but can't afford expensive disaster-proofing, it's their fault?

Shall I dare bring in the "H" word?

They don't have to move. They can build a structure suited to the area they live in.

Exactly, they are to stupid to leave, even to stupid to build a home that will withstand a tornado. They stay and they die, year after year.

Well I guess we'll all just be poor and living wherever, since any home can be ripped to pieces by any force of nature, hurricane, tornado, fires, whatever....

Yeah, I think if your stupid enough to stay in a disaster danger zone and die, it''s your own fault. Those people are playing a game of chance, and including their children in the game.

Why not bring up the "B" name? He is the stupid SOB who thinks prayers are going to save these tornado dwellers.

Here is part of the problem. They had no where to go. The Tornados are too powerful. To many of them death twisters. Never know. These stupid people can even identify the reasons they end up dead & houses wiped out. I am surpirsed that Nevada doesn'y have betting on how many people will die in any given month to tornados.

But others simply had nowhere safe to go, or the storms proved too powerful, too numerous, too unpredictable.

Well not much. My grandfather was a horse & cattle rancher in Belton Tx. about a 100 years ago. You might see our brand -P- (slash-P-slash) on some of those fancy western dinner plates. I never lived there. The family moved out of Texas in 1910 and none of us have been back.

So did the cow paddies turn to gold & the fences to peppermint sticks? What have I missed?

Your comment about not being able to afford to live here. This is about as cheap as it gets, my friend.
