First, the recent tornadoes were not even IN "tornado alley". That region is actually well to the west.

Second, tornadoes can, and do, happen almost anywhere in the world. That includes the Bahamas (they are caused by hurricanes in most cases).

Where would you have people go? Should we build entire cities underground to avoid tornadoes?

They almost never hit the same place twice. If 20 years ago, your neighbor's house got hit and yours didn't, you might be safe forever, or the next one to come through might get you and not your neighbor.

Trying to make a living working for people that can pay them. If you want the state governments in those areas to start funding emergency shelters and warning systems for their poorer residents, you can go down there and petition yourself. But I don't want the federal government in it, with our debt already so high.

Yes indeed. Either have a home to withstand a tornado or get out. Those people are crazy to stay there, like a bunch of board posters here that take other peoples death lightly.

Maybe you know nothing of building homes? There is a reason homes in the desert or made with brick or adobe. There is a reason why homes built in the
sierra mts have heavy rafters. Reasons why homes on the coast have wooden construction. And there are reasons why stupid people living in tornado alley should have reifnorced conrete built homes with the majority of the home undeground.

And don't worry, you should never be a leader of anything bigger than the lead box boy at KMart.

We can't afford it. I can't afford it and I earn above the average. I can't afford the bullet proof car I'm going to need to protect me from the automatic weapons that we're now wanting to pass out to everyone.
