No - it's perfectly legitimate - you are taking a circular route to prove something that can't be proven.
Not to mention - intolerance IS a bad thing.
As I said, I do not approve of his being punished for his ignorant and bigoted intolerant POV - that doesn't mean I won't point it out. That is not intolerance.
