My interest on the laws of the EU in regards to American law is minimal.
The EU countries do not have our constitution, nor our constitutionally guaranteed freedom of speech.
I get tired of hearing how America has to be careful because of the hate speech laws in other countries. There are countries in the world that cut off the hands of thieves. I'm not worried about that happening in the U.S. either. We have a different culture here. Our constitution prevents many of the issues considered as slippery slopes because of the results in other countries.
edited to add: did you miss the part of my post which stated clearly that he should not be stopped from voicing his opinion?
