Hmm...certainly would be tempting given the situation wouldnt it? (regardless of the whole day of silence thing)...which is ridiculous...unless they extended it indefinately...which might solve a few issues. But I didnt say that.
Anyways, the guy got what he deserved, but it probably wasn't the best thing to do. Id love to say that anyone should have the right to respond with full force against an aggressor (certianly happens on an international level), but by using violence as punishment and retribution it would only strenghten the arguement of those who use violence for crime and power.
If you were smart, you would have gone and stood in his face or something until he pushed you out of the way or something, then you could technically say you were defending yourself. ...Hey....but I didnt say that either.
