Actually, the term "homophobic" is a made up term that means nothing.
Homo = Same or the genus of bipedal primates that includes modern humans
Phobic = Fear
Disagreeing with same sex marriage is not fear of sameness or people.

One doesn't need to be a racial minority to speak of race issues. That is like saying that one has to be a politician to speak of political issues.
