-The specialty plates would feature a cross over a stained-glass window. The words "I Believe" would be at the bottom of the plate. Floridians would pay an extra $25 for the plate. The money would go to a nonprofit group in Orlando called "Faith in Teaching" to support faith-based education.

Rest of story: license plate proposed in Florida (OneNewsNow.com)

Commentary: Far out…

Don’t those of you living below the bible belt just love it here?
The “NOW cows” tried for years to get rid of our “Chose Life” plates and even attempted to get there own saying “Support Choice”. They couldn’t get enough signatures.
Now moonbats have something else to keep them busy for a while.
In Alabama our new plates say "God Bless America." I had a friend who was pretty pissed about it and said that if they didn't give him a different plate at no extra cost to him, he was going to raise hell about it. He's sort of a pot head so I'm pretty sure he just forgot about it. While I do not like the influence that the fundies have in our area I don't really care too much about the Alabama plates. I think we should go back to the plates that have "Heart of Dixie" on it, but that seemed to rub people the wrong way for some reason.

As for the Florida plates, at least it is a plate that you have to request I guess. I'd have to research on whether this is a separation of church and state issue. It would be one thing if they made them the default plate, but...
I haven't heard of the pro life / pro choice plates topic before, but assuming that the fundies hypocritical stance is true I would probably just keep license plates secular to avoid problems like this.
