No one said your position was racist. It was your selection of terms to use for illegal aliens.

There are at least 10-20 million illegal aliens in the US.

Getting tough sounds great, but if everyone did it and we deported all of them back to Mexico the following would be the result:

(1) US taxpayers would be charged a huge bill for deporting them.

(2) Most would be back within the next month.

(3) If you are 100% get tough on your approach to this issue, that means no guest worker program. The prices on everything from wine to potatoes would substantially increase. Other service areas such as maids and gardeners would be reduced to severe personnel shortages.

What we really need is a comprehensive bill passed on illegal immigration. We need to break this down into two bills. The first would focus on border security only. That has a large majority support and would pass. A second bill would relate to a guest worker program, legal immigration, homeland security and other issues.
