If these two states were to do the same thing, along with Florida and New York, the other two states with the highest numbers of illegal residents, there would be an exodus, not to Mexico, like y'all would like to believe, but to the states with more liberal laws, or to the countries with more liberal laws(Canada?), and this ain't gonna fix the problem. Again, it's just going to shift it to another sphere.

Legislation isn't the way to 'solve' this problem. They only solution is multifaceted, multinational and developmental in nature.

Treating immigrants like criminals, whether they're here legally or not, is not the answer. And every state will not enact or enforce the law the same way, not matter how much we might like to believe they 'should'.
Fortunately, these laws DO work. They worked in Arizona and Oklahoma. The desired effect of a mass exodus of illegals from those states was achieved. That's what I call working. Do Arizonians or Oklahomans care that these illegals just moved to neighboring states? No. If Texas and California, which are already flooded with illegals, don't like it, they have the option of passing their own tough on illegals laws. Right. A trend that I would like to see is as each state becomes flooded with illegals they will be forced to pass their own tough on illegals laws until ALL 50 states have come on board. At that point these illegals will have NO SANCTUARY and will have to go back to where they came from. Once they leave the US they're not our problem anymore. It's going to fix the problem of illegal immigration as far as it concerns the US.

We're not talking about mass deportation, we're talking about mass SELF DEPORTATION. This whole process will have relatively little cost to the American taxpayer.

After all, it has become increasingly apparent that if there is going to be any real enforcement of immigration laws it will be done at the state level.
