[quote=Illyria;134118]Oh COME ON!!!!

She should be charged with assault. I am sick of people thinking they are above consequence.

If I saw and was sure someone was vandalizing a memorial, I would give them a good pop.

And if i was arrested I would plee guilty and face my judgment. It is part of the decision. If you decide to break the law face the consequence.

Don't wine about justification. You made the choice, face it.[/QUOTE

Hi there, i have just posted a reply to Leviathon that should be on the last page for you to look at.
I have replied to your post as i do agree with you. However, even before i was arrested, the story had made the national papers here. The media having to be carefull to use words such as "Believe" or "Thought" is to protect themselves from civil law suits.
As the story was in the papers with these words before i was actually arrested, it appears this gave the well known vandal the chance to claim "Mistaken Identity".
I was offered a caution by the police which i refused. If i had accepted it, i would have been admitting that i had grabbed the wrong one. I knew this was never the case, as well as other witnessess that the police did not bother to contact.
After the four day trial, although i was found guilty, i was elated at the judges summing up as he stated that from all the evidence he had heard over the four days from all the witnesses, he was in no doubt, that the youth caught in the act of criminal damage to the war memorial, was indeed the youth i had always maintained.
This is the whole reason it went to a trial. For eight months the police & family of the youth claimed mistaken identity. Whatever the verdict, we were all elated that the youths best mates ratted on him & told the truth in court & i was completely cleared of the allegation of grabbing an innocent teenager.
With Very Best Wishes,
AGENTFOXMULDER always in England
