So I have a question for those that believe that the rise in CO2 levels over the last several decades is man made?
First, lets gather some numbers
According to the National Center for Atmospheric Research, The total mean mass of the atmosphere is 1.777*10^20 mole.
According to Earth System Research Laboratory (which is government run, you know, the one that is supposedly denying CC), CO2 levels rose by more than 2 ppm in 98', 02', 03', 05', and 07' (of the last 10 years), with the highest being 98' of 2.94 ppm increase that year.
In 1998 (of which there was a 2.94 ppm increase) the world produced 1.001*10^13 kg of CO2 which is 2.275*10^14 mole of CO2.
So now lets crunch some numbers. A 2.94 ppm increase of CO2 translates to 5.2244*10^14 moles of CO2 increase in the atmosphere that year. However, this is over twice the amount of CO2 that the entire world has put up in the atmosphere. So even if man didn't put a single atom of, there was still around 2.95*10^14 moles of CO2 (or 1.66 ppm of CO2) that entered our atmosphere.
So it is a simple question of where is that CO2 comeing from? It is not man made.
I hear from each side of the isle either that they're deniers or fear mongerers shouting off a list of names of important people that agree with them, but when it comes down to the numbers what do you know about what is accuring in the enviroment?
