The reason I was researching the effects of a nuclear explosion, was to see if an underground shelter would save you. Depending on how far away the blast was, you could survive. The problem is the fallout. With winds able to blow fallout around the world, and rain able to spread it, it would be tough to survive multiple nuclear missiles...because there wont just be one.
