Are you seriously blaming the government for murders ? Not even the biggest Bush critics would try and blame him for crime in the US. All the government can do is tackle the causes of crime, like poverty andhave strong detterents, beyond that they are helpless.

That is just simply not true. Venezuela has many elected opponents of the government, as mayors, in the assembly and at a local level.
