Perhaps give ONE warning and a suspended license, but do it again, then you lose it permanently. You shouldn't be mollycoddled when you are a threat to public safety as drunks are when on the road.

You could also say that we shouldn't put other dangerous people in prison either, given it will create hardships for the family.
