First of all, I see this as "pure baiting". There is the assumption, of course, that there is something "wrong" with being gay, and therefore, the inclination would be to change from to "heterosexual". Since sexual orientation isn't a choice, anymore than one's preference for color, or flavor, or hot or cold, it's ridiculous to think that one "could" change if one wanted to.
Many people have difficulties in adjusting to their prescribed sexual orientation, and find it problematic...others are "well-adjusted", despite prejudices and biases against them, and lead happy, productive lives.
